The Presidential and Jobs announces the grant of 92,000 euros to the municipality of San Javier for restoration Bridge Township Laughter

The presidential adviser and Employment, José Gabriel Ruiz, reported today that his department will allocate about 90,000 euros for the creation of stable jobs character employed workers with disabilities, as well as consolidating the already created for these workers in the Special Employment Centre in San Javier.

Ruiz made the remarks during his visit to that center, which depends on the Association for the Integration of Disabled Persons in the Shire of Mar Menor (Aidemar) and currently has 115 workers unaplantilla.

Of these, 90 percent are people with intellectual disabilities and the rest with mental, physical and sensory diseases.

Aidemar provides services for people with disabilities and their families to improve their quality of life, and whose sphere of influence also extends to San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Alcazares, Torre Pacheco, Murcia and some districts of Cartagena, and Pilar de la Horadada (Alicante).

The Minister recalled that a total of 1,000 people with disabilities got a job in one of the 39 special employment centers in the region, thanks to Program Special Employment Centres (EEC) developed by his department, which promotes stable labor integration people with disabilities in these areas, through grants to its creation, expansion and maintenance staff.

To keep jobs filled by people with disabilities in the EEC, the Council may grant aid to subsidize the labor costs of these posts.

The amount of the subsidy is equal to 50 percent of the amount of the minimum wage in effect in each contract month.

Agreement to improve the employability of young graduates

Before his visit to the Aidemar, the Minister met with the mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez.

After this meeting the forthcoming signing of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions was announced to facilitate labor practices in companies of unemployed youth.

José Gabriel Ruiz said the success of this regional initiative which means that three out of ten young people who do these internships, end up being hired by them.
