The municipality of San Javier summer releases more accessible beaches (20/06/2014)

The Department of Tourism has worked throughout the year on the advice of Famdif (Murcianas Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic) to improve accessibility to the beaches of Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga del Mar Menor, most of which are already accessible beaches, to varying degrees.

The Councillor for Tourism of San Javier, Antonio Martínez Turrets reported that 90 percent of the municipal beaches are accessible, as approved gateways have easy access to the beach area, footbaths adapted amphibious wheelchairs and bathing assistance for people with various disabilities.
