Jazz San Javier offers a memorable night for lovers of blues supergroup Chicago Blues "A living history" will happen on stage at the Catalan group, Pegasus, the best band in the history of Spanish jazz fusion
The first part of the night is dedicated to one of the most representative groups of the jazz fusion of our country, Pegasus, Catalonia band formed in 1982, after having performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Kool Jazz Festival New York ceased trading in 1996. Though reunited because of some action, not Pegasus reissued an album until 13 years later.
In 2013 they released "Standby ON!"
With eleven new songs, true to his style of jazz-fusion with Mediterranean influences.
The band consists of four original members, Max Sunyer (guitars) and Josep Mas "Kitflus" (keyboards) from the Iceberg group, Santi Arisa (drums) and Rafael Escoté (low) to which Dani Arisa joined (percussion), in this new phase with which they perform their anticipated debut in San Javier Jazz.
The second part of the evening will be devoted to the blues, with supergroup Chicago Blues "A living history" that embodies the long tradition of the blues in Chicago, with a set of some of the most representative stars electric blues like Billy Boy Arnold, John Primer, Billy Branch and Lurrie Bell.
Chicago Blues "A living history" brings together true masters of the blues players that was done in Chicago for decades, along with other musicians that make up a first-order absolutely essential band on the current blues scene.
Jazz fusion and electric blues of Chicago, a combination of high voltage promises one of the most intense nights of an issue that is poised to be remembered as one of the best in the history of the festival.
