Jazz San Javier looks towards Cuba and to the best jazz fusion with Lucrecia and Havanna Street Band, and Chuck Loeb & Friends (01/08/2014)

The singer and versatile artist Lucrecia, leads a concert with clear Cuban flavor which will be accompanied by the Havana Street Band, a group revelation of the Latin scene, innovative, which has opened new avenues when fusing traditional Latin music with jazz, funk and afro.

This first evening concert, specially designed for the Jazz Festival San Javier, will have a special guest, singer Moncho, one of the best boleristas history, Lucho Gatica who baptized as "El Rey del bolero".

The versatility of the Cuban artist Lucrecia, which some have considered the successor to Celia Cruz, for energy and transmitting swing on stage will make it a comfortable companion to the excellent group of musicians led by renowned Cuban musician, Leonel O Zúñiga, whose repertoire includes both the most authentic Latin and Latin jazz genre.

Lucrecia, who starred in a spectacular debut in San Javier Jazz two years ago by the sextet of saxophonist José Luis Gutiérrez, has great vocal and musical virtues to which he adds a huge personality when interpreting boleros and Cuban son.

Precisely the guest artist tonight, Moncho, is one of the great bolero life, and a great lover of Cuban music to which he dedicated his album "De La Havana to Barcelona" in 2006.

After the Latin proposal that will begin the evening, Jazz San Javier receives once again the great Chuck Loeb flag American fusion jazz, exceptional guitarist, member of jazz bands as popular as Fourplay and Metro, and renowned producer and composer essential in the history of contemporary jazz.

He has written, produced or performed with artists like Michael Franks, Bob Dylan, Art Garfunkel Randy Brecker, Chet Baker, Gary Burton, Wayne Shorter, and Michel Camilo, among many others.

On your next visit to the Festival de Jazz de San Javier will come with the prestigious Californian saxophonist, Eric Marienthal, a leading figure in jazz fusion, in which also featured for the recording of their latest album "Silhouette", to be presented in concert in San Javier.

Chuck Loeb signature number 18 on his album which included their own songs and two versions of very different topics, one of them, "This evening I saw rain," Armando Manzanero's bolero teacher played by his wife, Carmen Cuesta Spanish, which met in Madrid in the time when Chuck Loeb was among a group of jazz legend Stan Getz.

His daughters are also present in "Silhouette" with two songs, one original signed by his daughter Cristina "Eras" based on family trips made by northern Spain, and the other a version of the classic "My One And Only Love" with his other daughter dares, singer Lizzy Loeb.

Among the jewels containing the latest album Chuck Loeb is the issue "JT" a tribute to James Taylor, one of his favorite authors and singers.
