The House of the Corporation unanimously approved the Award of the 45th International Festival of Theatre, Music and Dance in San Javier actor Arturo Fernandez, a proposal from the Councillor for Culture and Director of the Festival, Inmaculada García, after completion of the information package in which the long and successful career of over 60 years on stage and behind the scenes of actor Gijón recognized.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez will be on hand to present the award to Arturo Fernandez at the end of the performance of the play "Faced" Cecil C. Davis, who plays and conducts himself and which will be displayed at the Festival on 20 August.
The Festival which begins on August 6 runs until 25 March.
Arturo Fernández treasures a career spanning more than 60 years since arriving in Madrid in 1950 with the intention to pursue acting.
It started as a helper and quickly went to the theater for companies like Conchita Montes and Rafael Rivelles.
The cinema opened its doors soon with titles like "Do not covet your neighbor's wife" by Pedro Lazaga and "Toccata and Fugue Lolita" by Antonio Drove, among many others.
His character, as, for gallant has accompanied him throughout his career.
"House of Trouble" with Lola Herrera and the film and then television series "Truhanes" with Paco Rabal, are two of his most successful works.
Arturo Fernández continues to reap success and recognition on stage.
After the success of "Rehearsing Don Juan", a version of the Don Juan Tenorio, Zorilla, led by Albert Boadella, Arturo Fernandez embarks on new project, "Faced" the American author Bill C. Davis, which plays a peculiar priest, with actor Tom House, who plays a seminarian whose appearance will disrupt your routine.
