The accidental mayor, and Councilman Carlos Albaladejo Agriculture, Antonio Luengo accompanied this morning the President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Alberto Garre that along with the Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, visited San Cayetano cooperative and that of Hortamira at El Mirador, belonging to the municipality of San Javier.
After the visit Hortamira, the president explained to the media that the visit comes "as a gesture of support for the agri-food sector is being affected by the veto applied by Russia to European agricultural importances".
Garre extolled the value of agriculture "is doing a commendable job, not only for production but by generating jobs" and said the quick response of the European Union, this situation by allocating 125 million euros for mitigate the negative effects of the Russian veto on EU imports of fruit and horatlizas.
European aid is distributed by sector and affected products but also is working to prevent further such situations with new alternative destinations where to place the production likely to be affected, Alberto Garre responded to questions from reporters.
