The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez has this morning signed the renewal of the cooperation agreements that the City of San Javier maintains with the Association of bobbin lace, Abomar who will receive a municipal contribution of 2.0000 euros, and the parish of St. Francisco Javier to a total of 11,000 euros is intended for the maintenance of Parish Museum.
The pastor, thanked José León municipal aid "that is essential to maintain the parish museum last year received 24,000 visitors, of which 30 percent were foreigners."
Jose Leon, announced the formation of a team of people "who are responsible for energizing the Museum," which launched its former director, José Ballester, who died recently, and that prepares a tribute, as forward Leon.
Carmen Bautista, president of Abomar signed the cooperation agreement in the presence of Councillor for Arts, Pedro Lopez highlighted the work done by that association in maintaining both art bobbin and dissemination through workshops and public meetings, as traditional bobbin lace meeting this year was held in conjunction with the festivities of San Javier.
Lopez said the boom experienced by the bobbin, as shown by the association created in La Manga which on Sunday held its first meeting by the Mar Menor, attended by more than 300 lace.
He also recalled that Abomar headquarters in San Javier, is being expanded to accommodate more than 40 lace with which the partnership.
The mayor of San Javier placed these agreements in the online collaboration that the City of San Javier, remains Civil associations and non-profit entities that help boost the social, economic and cultural life of the town as well as the preservation and enrichment of the cultural heritage of the municipality such as Parish Museum.
