Councilman Carlos Albaldejo received this morning in the city of San Javier to a group of 16 Scottish students who participate in a youth exchange week from the IES "Mar Menor", Santiago de la Ribera, who welcomed the time wished them a happy and fruitful stay.
The youths, aged 14 and 15 years, students from a high school Spanish in Helensburgh, near Glasgow city, staying from 14 to 20 November, with families of scholars in March returned the visit to Scotland.
The exchange program that keeps the two schools operating successfully for 3 years, in order to allow students to practice the language in the country, and promote cultural exchange.
The young people were accompanied by two Scottish teachers accompanying them on the trip, the head of the English Department of IES "Mar Menor", Maria Angeles Esparza and the center's director, Rafael Ortega.
While staying here, young Scottish attend some classes in high school with Spanish students and conduct cultural and sightseeing both by the municipality of San Javier, Murcia and Cartagena.
