Councillor for Social Services supports new donations to Caritas (05/12/2014)

Councillor for Social Services, Francisca Naranjo praised the initiative of Caja Rural Central San Javier to allocate this money on food through the campaign "Payroll and Pension Solidarity" Caritas San Javier today.

Naranjo stressed the importance of collaboration both individuals, companies and institutions with Caritas in the presentation of the campaign where he went invited, and which was attended by the director of the organization, Antonio Zapata, director of Caritas San Javier, Francisco Griñó and its president, the pastor of San Javier José León.

Antonio Zapata explained that the campaign is in force in December and January, months in which the entity will allocate EUR 50 kilos of food for each new resident payroll or pension.

The customer will receive the money in symbolic coins introduced in an urn.

The company will donate all the money raised and receive a certificate of your donation to Caritas every customer.

Antonio Zapata explained that this is a charity campaign with various entities, such as the Red Cross and others, and that in the case of San Javier has chosen Caritas "considering that was the best way to channel this aid."

Francisco Griñó welcomed this new aid is in addition to other beneficial actions that Caritas can continue helping those who need it most.

The priest José León, recalled that "with the participation of all are helping about 800 families."

José León recalled recent charity events such as theatrical performances of "Don Juan Tenorio", and "The impatient divine" and flea market association Housewives Caritas posed to 5,500 euros.

Also advancement, which help Caja Rural Central, will join the traditional Caixa, and other actions as a campaign to collect toys through the College Football Mar Menor, a collection of food at various establishments a Ismael Cerezuela concert on 3 January and a live nativity scene which can be seen on Sunday December 21 at San Javier.

Leon took the presence of the Councillor for Social Services to remember that the City of San Javier is the main support for Caritas with an annual contribution of 26,000 euros to Caritas San Javier, and the same amount for Caritas Santiago de la Ribera, so thanked "very valuable" contribution.
