Bibliohospital service to San Javier library launched at the Hospital Los Arcos is one year after the idea, which arose in the Reading Club Library, wound up in a cooperation agreement between the City and the center hospitable.
This service is provided 15 volunteers, book club and bench time San Javier, every Wednesday from 17: 00h.
walking door to door, room with a cart full of books in several languages, and magazines with which patients and companions mitigate the hours of hospital.
The books, from donations and funds of the library, covering various genres, also for smaller, with informative magazines that users return once read.
The idea has proved to be a success after more than 1,000 copies provided over a year in which the bibliohospital has carved a niche in the life of the hospital thanks to the good reception of patients, companions and staff health.
Volunteers participating in this project are its greatest advocates, insurance and pleased to be of assistance to people who have to stay in the hospital and make it through books, essential to what has been called bibliotherapy which gives good properties reading.
