The mayor of San Javier Juan Martinez today signed two agreements last year collaboration between the City of San Javier and Mar Menor North Red Cross, and Solidarity and Reintegration Project Man-Foundation.

Fernando Carrasco, president of the regional Assembly Mar Menor North signed the agreement which reports to the said organization 5,000 euros for his work on prevention and social protection, while Thomas Zamora, president of Proyecto Hombre in the Region of Murcia signed contracts this organization dedicated to treatment and drug prevention to receive a municipal contribution of 2,000 euros, for acting that develops in the town.

Thomas Zamora thanked the City of San Javier trust Man Project to address the prevention of drug addiction in the town of San Javier which results in workshops on prevention will be directed mainly professionals whose jobs are in contact with the sectors most vulnerable population in relation to drug addiction, explained Assumption Saints Pascual, director of Proyecto Hombre who attended the event.

Zamora also regretted that still are few municipalities in the region to demonstrate this sensitivity to important topics like this.

Fernando Carrasco thanked the support received from the City of San Javier for the Red Cross, "which is an organization that thrives on volunteers and can develop their work through the generosity of others".

Carrasco said that cooperation between the work of the Red Cross are the preventive and actions necessary to mass events and training, and actions with youth in prevention emergency.
