The mayor of San Javier Juan Martinez today attended a meeting in Murcia, with the Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio and the mayors of Molina de Segura, Cieza, Caravaca de la Cruz and Jumilla in which the situation was addressed conservatories operating in these municipalities.
Conservatories in San Javier, Molina de Segura, Cieza, Caravaca de la Cruz and Jumilla are financed from the respective municipalities with the participation of counseling in the last budget increased by 30 percent its contribution, allocating 150,000 euros.
Juan Martínez has rated this step in relation to the historical reference for municipalities to greater regional funding for their conservatories and the commitment of counselor to further enhance regional contribution gradually in the coming years to what has raised the possibility signed a framework agreement setting out the increases.
The Minister Pedro Antonio Sánchez highlighted the increase of students in these conservatories, receiving 710 students (San Javier 123 students) which in his view "shows the good work of their management teams and teachers to those from the Ministry and municipalities we try to provide the resources and support they need. "
At the meeting other issues as various initiatives to promote the work done by students and closer to the whole population were addressed and facilitate activities and meetings of students from conservatories with the Symphony Orchestra of the Region and other virtuosos music performed on a stage in the Region.
