The IV National Painting Competition Outdoor Roda choose to host (11/03/2015)

The village of Roda, which has some of the oldest buildings in the town will host this year's Fourth National Contest of Outdoor Painting "Villa de San Javier" 2015 as announced today the Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García during the presentation of the Show to be held on Saturday April 18th.

The mayor, Inmaculada García and the coordinator of Culture, Juan Francisco Mirete presented the new edition of Competition "with which the painter's work on the public" and this year includes junior class "to promote paint among younger "said Garcia Roda referred to as" an ideal place for this contest by the beauty and charm of its landscapes ".

Juan Francisco Mirete explained that painters have from 09:30 until 18: 00h.

The jury will meet at 20: 30h.

at the Museum of San Javier where all participants will be exposed works.

Prizes established by the Contest will be 1,300, 850, 600 and 600euros for the first, second, third and fourth prize respectively in the general category for over 18 years.

The youth category of 13-17 years, will paint material worth 100, 60 and 40 euros.

The new junior class, up to 7-13 years assess the three best works with surprise prizes, said the coach of the Department of Culture.

Participants may only submit one work with any theme, albeit reflecting any aspect or perspective of the landscape of Roda, on canvas with minimal 50x65cms, and in the case of juvenile 21x29,7cms, A4 size.

Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García stressed the high presence of artists from different parts of Spain since this Contest recovered for 3 editions giving national character and quality of the entries.

García also highlighted the growing presence of local painters emerged from the paint shops operating in the town, which encouraged further participation.

The mayor highlighted the support it gives the public this contest where they have the opportunity to follow the evolution of the different works that are taking shape at any point of the town, and encouraged the audience to keep doing it and enjoy at the same time, of a visit to Roda.

Entries must be performed from Wednesday March 11 at the office of Culture of the City of San Javier and email cultura@sanjavier.es.
