Jackson Browne, Brad Mehldau, Dianne Reeves and Tony DeSare, leading figures of the progress of the program of the Festival de Jazz de San Javier 2015 (18/03/2015)

The vocalist Dianne Reeves receive the Prize XVIII Festival Jazz San Javier, in which progress also includes the quartet stars "Network" with Charnett Moffet, Stanley Jordan, Jeff "Tain" Watts and Cyrus Chestnut, and the supergroup CMD & The Nomads, Chris Minh Doky led.

The advance program includes Spanish presence Ginesa Ortega and Raynald Colom Quartet, and the Cádiz Antonio Lizana.

Brad Mehldau, one of the great jazz pianists will become one of the prominent presence of the next edition of the Festival where he will perform with his official Trio.

As usual, since its inception, the Festival de Jazz de San Javier pays special attention to Spanish jazz, and according to forward its director, Alberto Nieto, in the next edition will be, among others, two Spanish groups that are in the elite of jazz flamenco.

The Catalan Ginesa Ortega, one of the most interesting and versatile voices of flamenco, as demonstrated in their holdings with La Fura dels Baus, or performing "El Amor Brujo" de Falla, explores the fusion of jazz and flamenco by the quartet trumpeter Raynald Colom, called "the Catalan Miles Davis".

The Cadiz Antonio Lizana, singer, saxophonist and composer premiered at the Festival de Jazz de San Javier with your group.

Away from conventions, this excellent saxophonist and singer features a vibrant direct, full of freshness and intensity, in a style in which enjoys and makes the audience enjoy your walks between flamenco and jazz.

In 2012 he recorded his first album, "De Wind (Flamenco Island)" and already has prepared the second, while collaborating with other artists like Miguel Rios, Chambao, or Raimundo Amador, among others, as well as groups like Afro-latin-jazz Arturo O'Farrill Orchestra at Symphony Place in New York.

The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez said "the strong commitment of the entire municipal corporation of the City of San Javier Jazz Festival which is a key element of the tourism promotion of the municipality and a generator of wealth element."

Martinez said the budget Festival 2015 amounted to 485,000 euros, of which the festival itself gets about 50 percent.

Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada Martinez stressed the commitment of all to keep this festival in recent years and the high level of quality and adventure program progress report released today.

Martinez was confident that another year the Festival exceeds all expectations and recalled the increase in ticket sales and spectators experienced the Festival progressively in recent editions.

The mayor thanked the work of municipal staff working for the Festival, as well as the support of corporate sponsors.

The Festival does not have firm dates but could range from 3 to 31 next July.

The presentation of the full program is planned for the first or second week of April to coincide with the start of ticket sales, which this year is to centralize power in internet sales the festival itself and offices.
