The CAVI reminds teens the dangers of toxic relationships (17/06/2015)

The Prevention and Intervention Program Toxic Relationships in Adolescence developed by the Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI), San Javier landed on 15 June at the IES "Ruiz de Alda" of San Javier where he invited students to reflect from a series of photographic images that have made a group of girls participating in that program.

The photographic series called "Good vs. Evil-treatment-treatment. You decide", gathers a group of artistic images with their young authors participated in the last edition of the festival of young art "Imagine", organized by the Department of Youth of San Javier, with the aim of drawing attention among adolescents on the need to begin at home when violence prevention.

That is precisely the aim of the action that took place in the IES "Ruiz de Alda" directed by psychologist CAVI, Juana Fuentes who explained that through the pictures that appeal to feelings, emotions and realities such as anorexia , bulimia, sadness, despair, self-inflicted or cuts in the skin teens are invited to reflect on themselves.

The theme of the photographs is evolving towards overcoming the "abuse" with positive images of "good treatment" that are opposed to the above and other reality shows, which can guarantee "prevention work beginning with the treatment that is given herself, learning to take care of themselves, "says Juan Fuentes.

This action, which has the support of the Department of Youth, began in the IES "Ruiz de Alda" and plans to continue for the rest of the municipality institutes, for next year, The initiative came from the girls participate in the program of CAVI, it includes the photographic exhibition with which the psychologist Juana Fuentes talk and invites reflection teens.

The teen program CAVI talks have already starred in several alerting the girls and boys about toxic relationships that are at the origin of abuse institutes.

The Prevention and Intervention Program Toxic Relationships in Adolescence, was created and launched with great success in the regional CAVI of San Javier.

Recently, the psychologist own Juan Fuentes was invited to present the project at the European Conference Project CORE "A comprehensive and coordinated response to violence against women" held in the Municipal Archives of Murcia on 11 and 12 June, in a Table dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence among adolescents.

The program was well received among the representatives of all participating countries.
