Councillor for Education Catalina Perez and the Vice Chancellor of Communication and Culture at the University of Murcia, José Antonio Gómez inaugurated this morning the course of the Universidad del Mar "Rescue and Identification of dangers Beaches" held from 20 to July 24 Faculty of Sport Sciences Campus of the University of Murcia in San Javier.
The event was held in the hall of the Faculty he attended the Dean of the Faculty, Arturo Diaz and President of the Federation of Lifesaving and Rescue Region of Murcia, Francisco Cano, directors, both Course in which thirty young work hazards, prevention and emergency action in aquatic environments, with practices in pool and on the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean.
Arturo Diaz recalled that this course, held for the first time, is the result of an agreement signed between the Faculty of Sport Sciences and the Federation of Lifesaving and Rescue Region of Murcia "because we believe that our students should also be trained in this area ".
Diaz also recalled other collaborations with the City of San Javier, with the ultimate goal of being a "living center".
Catalina Perez stressed the importance of saving water course in a coastal area like ours, who invited to discover and enjoy the attractions of the municipality of San Javier to the students of the course.
The rector, José Antonio Gómez also said the nature of these summer courses to strengthen and expand the theoretical and practical learning in an atmosphere of leisure.
This is the third year of Unimar held in San Javier, after international course of high performance basketball and functional rehabilitation of sports injuries.
September will be held the fourth course "Educating, create and heal through the stories" at the headquarters of San Javier.
