Citizens pooling San Javier, his spokesman Antonio Murcia, welcomed yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 22 September, a meeting of council of citizens in order to study and design a joint plan aimed at regenerating the lagoon.
The meeting, which was led by its sponsor, Representative of the Regional Assembly, Luis Fernandez, representatives and councilors of groups of Cartagena, La Union, Fuente Alamo, Torre Pacheco, Los Alcazares, San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier .
The objective of this workshop was none other than treated together about future comprehensive measures to help regenerate the Mar Menor lagoon, on the basis of the current "Strategy integrated coastal zone management in the Mar Menor and its surroundings" , and other environmental impact studies that have been done about it.
Oranges affected groups and key players that come to fruition the above strategy, plan to organize working groups about it, for the sole purpose of knowing first hand, and to encourage the Administration, those investments required, and more urgent, to be carried out for the effective implementation of the Mar Menor regenerator and its surrounding district, and which, public representatives of Citizens will demand that run with full transparency and accountability.
