The Department of Health is full of content International Cancer Day with a day of activities in the square of Spain (28/01/2016)

The Councillor for Health, Catalina Perez presented this morning a day full of activities to celebrate the 4th of February, the International Day Against Cancer, in order to "involve the entire population in a cause that is close to everyone and do from prevention through healthy habits, both food and sport. "

The Deputy Director of Nursing Hospital Los Arcos, Remedios Alonso and Research Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, San Javier, Pilar Sainz Councillor accompanied the presentation to support the initiative and offer their collaboration "to continue working in prevention. "

Also she attended by the president of the Cancer Association of Santiago de la Ribera, Philip Bathrooms that invited all people to participate and express solidarity with the fight against cancer.

The program of activities taking place in the square of Spain from 10:30 to 14:00 and in the afternoon from 17:00 to 19: 00h.

It includes the distribution of an apple, lettuce and broccoli, to emphasize the importance of food.

The mayor, José Miguel Luengo read a manifesto at 11: 00h just before the initiative of "solidarity court" or "Cut off the queue", in collaboration with the stylist Mary Travé, for donating hair for wigs open and hairpieces.

The activity will continue in the afternoon with a recycling workshop, and physical activity with some skating and buzzes.

The exhibition, which serves to educate both children and the public perceiving it, will also go to Hospital Los Arcos, from 8 to 14 February, and the Health Center San Javier from 15 to 222 in February.
