The government team will develop a municipal austerity plan that includes freezing of salaries for the corporation, running costs and other savings measures (09/10/2008)

The government team has approved a municipal austerity plan which has among its first points, freezing the salaries of the mayor and council members and part-time and fees for attending the full, governing boards, and commissions information for all elected officials in the course of 2009.

The austerity plan, which was approved with the vote against the popular group and the non-independent group, also provides for the freezing of the budgetary allocations to local political groups, and chapter expenses.
