The Department of Environment has a new environmental technician hired by the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia with the objective of providing technical support for the implementation of Local Agenda 21 and other environmental issues in the area of Mar Menor.
The new environmental technician who has joined the team to the Department of Environment this week remain in the area during one year period that has been contracted by the Federation of Municipalities, which may be extended depending on the work to develop because they also serve as technical support for the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar.
The Councillor for the Environment, José Luis Espinosa stressed "the step taken by the municipality of San Javier which until a year ago had no technical environment, and now has two, one municipal and other support."
Espinosa has highlighted the timeliness of this initiative of the Federation of Municipalities, "and we're at a turning point in environmental matters in the municipality of San Javier, with Agenda 21, the implementation of the transfer plant and many other initiatives , so that the presence of a new technique will be of great help.
