San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Los Alcazares came together to celebrate the 60 anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights, a program of activities concluded with a joint event in San Javier, where individuals belonging to various associations turns in a public reading of human rights.
The ceremony attended by the Mayor of San Javier, Pepa García, and councilors of Social Services of San Javier, Maria Angeles Chum, San Pedro del Pinatar, Maria Olivia Sanchez, and Los Alcazares, M ª Carmen Imbernón, was attended Amnesty International through a representative spoke about the current situation of human rights in the world, and with the various actions that put the festive touch at the end of a program that has developed activities in the three municipalities organized by municipal social services of the three municipalities.
The activities have included several talks and lectures given by the protagonists of the reported cases, as the death penalty, or the situation that exists in the Sahara and Colombia, among others, besides various competitions aimed at youngsters.
