The municipalities of San Javier and Javier (Navarra) have renewed, 25 years later, the twinning between the two peoples at a ceremony held in the City of Javier on Sunday by signing the official record of ratification of the Sisterhood of the mayors of San Javier, Pepa García, and Javier, Maria José Guindano and four council members from each of the councils are found in a ceremony also attended Jaime Ignacio del Burgo, who was driving force behind this initiative and the Director General Local Administration of the Government of Navarra.

In his speech, the mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia highlighted the strength of the twinning between the two peoples.
"It started 25 years ago and history has left its mark changing.
Today two women are the representatives of both peoples.
In San Javier, and there was political sign change two years ago and a socialist government that tradition has continued uninterrupted for 25 years, and that twinning is chaired by the feelings and people, and is above the colors and policy ".
The hallmark of this edition of twinning, besides celebrating the 25 anniversary, they put ten people in San Javier that decided to cover the route between the two peoples with their bikes.
The ten cyclists, belonging to the association "Friends of the Camino de Santiago", came out last Sunday, and Saturday were greeted by their neighbors in Javier, a hundred miles of bike daily on their backs, and two commemorative plates delivered to the mayors of both municipalities.
The group of San Javier was also a commemorative t-shirts throughout the day wore neighbors of both peoples.
