The Department of Environment in collaboration with the Cluster and ANSE, has launched the campaign "wrack and sand between two stools: Mar Menor and the Mediterranean", which takes place during the month of August on the beaches of La Manga.
The campaign aims to raise public awareness about the importance of wrack and sand to the ecosystem includes four boat trips for free to learn about the aquatic biodiversity of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean and see the differences.
The campaign was successfully launched last 3rd and runs until August 30, is to report through a point served by ecoinformadores documentary that will rotate through the different beaches on two dates during the month, mornings.
The afternoon will be devoted to the kids with activities and educational games on the same beaches.
The four scheduled departures by boat will be held from 14 to 16 August, two of them, and on 21 and 23.

During the excursion dives in the Mar Menor, with goggles and snorkel to see, especially, Cymodocea and Caulerpa meadows, and the Mediterranean Posidonia meadows in the vicinity of Isla Grossa.
Throughout the month, the exhibition "Dunes, a sea of sand" that the council set up to mark the Environment Day can be seen at the London hotel until 9 August at the Doblemar from 10 to 16 in Mangalán hotel from 17 to 23, and Cavanna from 24 to 30 August.
The exhibition shows, graphically, the evolution of La Manga and the sands, current conservation status and associated flora and fauna.
