Students of Special Education Center Aideman, the Association for the Integration of the disabled in the region of Mar menor, held yesterday launched "Miles of Solidarity", promoted by the NGO Save the Children, to raise funds for Ivorian children.
Center students, from 3 to 20 years, completed about two miles on foot or in wheelchairs, to the Plaza of Spain, accompanied by the entire school staff, family and friends.
Once in place, the boys made several murals alluding to the joint activities that were taking place and once completed placed on the facade of City Hall.
The mayor of San Javier, Pepa García met them at the square where he greeted and welcomed the initiative which has Aideman doing during the past three years and is based on the sponsorship of students by family and friends who make a financial contribution free for each kilometer you complete your sponsor.
