The police patrol local service in the weekly markets in San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera has arrested two persons accused of an offense against intellectual property on the market of Santiago de la Ribera, and seized hundreds of DVD's and pirated CDs and other items of counterfeit marks, which were offered for sale on the market.
Both detainees and the confiscated material was made available to the Civil Guard barracks in Santiago de la Ribera.
In the first operation, the officers detected an illegal position in which it seized 94 DVD's and 84 CD's and arrested the dealer, a Somali citizen of 27 years.
In another operation, officers seized the goods which included 326 DVDs and 245 CD's as well as several bags imitation of luxury brands like Prada and CH, although the seller did a runner from inside the market without that could be located by agents.
Finally the police officers serving in markets, detained a man of Moroccan nationality aged 26, resident of San Javier, which was confiscated a shipment of DVD's and CD's that camouflaged under the tissues that sold in a position to leave, although on behalf of another person.
