The police force of San Javier has today with four new motorcycles, Yamaha 250 model machines this morning presented the local government CEO Juan Antonio Morales, the Mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia and the Security council, Manuel Leal in the Plaza of Spain, San Javier.
The new acquisition represents an investment of 22,000 euros, of which 20,000 have been provided by the Regional Public Safety Plan.
The mayor of San Javier, Pepa García thanked the cooperation of the Directorate General of Local Administration through Regional Security Plan has also meant the inclusion of ten new players and two cars for the Police Local of San Javier.
Pepa García stressed the usefulness of this kind of motorcycles "in a city as large as San Javier."
The new bikes are already in use by patrol officers on their regular routes through the municipality, as reported by the Police Officer Miguel Matias Romero.
The Director General of Local Government, Juan Antonio Morales recalled that the new motorcycles, which feature the new corporate image of the municipal police, "complete the allocation already made to San Javier of new staff and two vehicles, and stressed the importance of improving infrastructure provision "so that police can carry out their work under the best conditions."
The new bikes a total of nine units available to the local police staff of San Javier which currently stands at 64 players and that next month will feature another 7 in practice.
