Imagine closing your street art exhibition with success and continues with its annual (27/04/2010)

The collective picture taken last Saturday at San Javier will be available at the festival www.imagina.sanjavier.es from which the public can download freely.

The initiative intended to repeat a collective picture of the residents of San Javier conducted in 1933 has been one of the greatest interest has been aroused among the public during the Art Show Imagina'10 Street, held this past weekend and which bottom line is "very positive," said Salvi Vivancos, coordinator of the event, involving both public and artists involved, and the quality and variety of its proposals.

Vivancos remember, however, that this year is Imagine not only shows the last weekend but "something more comprehensive that develops throughout the year, with workshops and initiatives that have involved many people" .

Imagine coordinator notes that the objective of this initiative is not only generating the show, but to create culture, giving much importance to development activity, or creative process, as the result. "

Salvi Vivancos recalled that the spirit of Imagine summarizes the conception of art not only as a representation of reality but as a transforming force of that reality.

So, beyond the most visible part of the festival, such as concerts or performances that attract large audiences, are the artistic, often ephemeral, at least for a few days alter a part of our environment and the public is finding or not.

To not miss out, while acquiring an overview of this year's festival will have to await publication of the catalog of Imagine, which usually comes out in October.

This time also included workshops and initiatives that have developed over the years and most are local to the involvement of indigenous groups.

Imagine indeed, still faces two projects, which involve children and youth in the municipality.

One such project is called "Sounds of Memory", and immigrant children who are led by an artist, an installation created by the music.

Another project, already underway, is the local screening of a documentary on the testimony of grandparents in schools where students end up writing their own memories of grandparents who subsequently become sound pieces as part of a sound installation .
